Government to Launch “Thai Helps Thai” Campaign Nationwide Covering All 710 Districts

Bangkok: The government is set to launch the "Thai Helps Thai" campaign on May 1st, aiming to provide affordable goods across all 710 districts nationwide. This initiative will allow people access to essential products both in-person and online.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced the upcoming launch of the "Thai Helps Thai" project. The campaign is designed to alleviate the cost of living and stimulate the grassroots economy through the sale of affordable goods at the local level.

Thailand comprises a total of 878 districts, with 710 districts currently having "Thai Helps Thai" sales points in 76 provinces, excluding Bangkok. Efforts are underway to allocate the remaining 168 districts to achieve full coverage across the nation.

The private sector is actively participating in this initiative. Modern wholesale and retail businesses such as Lotus's, Big C, Makro, Tops, and Go Wholesale are integral to the campaign, with distribution points spread across numerous districts.

To ensure accessibility, the government has established distribution points in over 710 district offices nationwide. Citizens can refer to provincial announcements for details on local distribution points to conveniently access affordable consumer goods.

For those unable to attend in person, online ordering options are available through platforms like 7-Eleven, Grab, and Shopee. The initiative's icon consolidates products, allowing for easy and quick purchases.

Essential goods including rice, cooking oil, sugar, and other consumer products will be offered at discounted prices. These goods will be available starting May 1, 2026, at district offices nationwide, and will continue every Friday throughout May.

Ms. Lalida emphasized that the project is about more than just reducing prices; it aims to make affordable essentials accessible to everyone while stimulating money circulation within communities from the grassroots level.
