Bangkok: The Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand officially opened the “Green Pavilion” exhibition and expressed confidence that Thailand’s SEA Games opening ceremony will be as grand as any other. Dr. Kongsak Yodmani, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand, inaugurated the ‘Green Pavilion’ exhibition, part of the activities accompanying the 33rd SEA Games and the 13th ASEAN Para Games. The exhibition aims to encourage youth to share the origins of the SEA Games and to raise awareness of the importance of environmental conservation.

According to Thai News Agency, the event features a variety of activities open to people of all ages every day, including relaxation zones, environmental education exhibitions, workshops, and creative activities for children and youth. The hope is that these activities will contribute to further learning and be applied in future world-class sporting events such as the Asian Games and the Olympic Games.

Regarding the hosting of the SEA Games this time, Dr. Kongsak added that the opening ceremony today is being meticulously prepared to ensure the convenience and safety of the public, given potential security concerns stemming from clashes along the Thai-Cambodian border. He affirmed that the opening ceremony will be beautiful and grand, befitting Thailand’s return to hosting the games after 18 years.
