Phra nakhon si ayutthaya: Gunfire erupted during a drinking session at a Buddhist ordination ceremony in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, resulting in the death of a 36-year-old man after an argument with two brothers, old adversaries. The girlfriend of the DJ who was working at the event was also injured by a stray bullet. Police are urgently searching for the two brothers to bring them to justice. According to Thai News Agency, police at Lat Bua Luang Police Station in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province received a report of a violent altercation and shooting at a house in Moo 7, Phraya Banlue Subdistrict, Lat Bua Luang District. Upon inspection of the scene, which was being prepared for an ordination ceremony, they found tables and chairs overturned, broken glass bottles scattered on the floor, and a large amount of blood. The windows and the house showed signs of being riddled with bullet holes. Officers found two 9mm bullet casings at the scene, which were collected as evidence. Two people were injured : Mr. Piyadom, 36, was shot in the left side of his chest, with the bullet exiting the right side. He was in critical condition and later died at Bang Sai Hospital. The other injured person is Ms. Suppannee, 27, from Suphan Buri Province, who was the DJ's girlfriend working at the ordination ceremony. She was grazed by a stray bullet on her shoulder. The perpetrators were brothers: Mr. Thani, 27, the younger brother, and Mr. Viroj, 33, the older brother. The deceased and Mr. Viroj had previously had a conflict during Songkran. On that occasion, Mr. Thani used a hard object to strike Mr. Piyadom, the deceased, on the head, causing injury. Both sides subsequently reconciled and Mr. Thani apologized to Mr. Viroj's parents. A group of local teenagers, friends of the host, were already drinking. The deceased arrived later. While they were sitting and talking, two brothers, who had previously been involved in a fight with the deceased during Songkran, approached and asked, "Are you still holding a grudge?" The deceased replied, "Nothing, but I'm not afraid." Then, bottles were thrown at the deceased's table before the two brothers pulled out guns and fired several shots. Everyone fled. The deceased was shot and fell, while his female DJ girlfriend was injured by a stray bullet. Following the incident, investigative teams from Lat Bua Luang Police Station, Bang Sai Police Station, and three investigative teams from the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provincial Police are urgently gathering evidence and int erviewing all witnesses to prepare a case file to request a court warrant for the arrest of Mr. Thani and Mr. Viroj, the two brothers, to be prosecuted according to the law as soon as possible.
