Pattani:Gunmen on motorcycles launched an attack at Bo Thong market in Pattani, injuring two individuals in a shocking incident. Authorities have responded by cordoning off the area and intensifying their search for the suspects involved.

According to Thai News Agency, the attack took place last night on October 21 in the southern border provinces. Unidentified assailants fired upon civilians in the Bo Thong market, Moo 6, Bo Thong Subdistrict, Nong Chik District, Pattani Province. The victims have been identified as Mr. Ruslam, 54, and Mrs. Hamida, 75.

In the aftermath of the attack, security forces comprising police, military, and local officials quickly secured the area. They coordinated with emergency medical personnel to provide first aid and transport the injured to the hospital for urgent treatment.

Investigators and security agencies are actively gathering evidence, examining CCTV footage, and interviewing witnesses to identify the perpetrators and determine their motive. Security measures in the area have been heightened to ensure a swift arrest and prosecution of those responsible.
