Hanssem Co. on Friday reported its second-quarter net income of 13.5 billion won (US$9.9 million), swinging from a loss of 419 million won a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that operating profit for the April-June period rose 478.3 percent on-year to 7.1 billion won. Sales decreased 7.1 percent to 478 billion won. The operating profit was 45.0 percent lower than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
