Copenhagen: Two local trains collided head-on north of Copenhagen, Denmark today, leaving at least 17 people injured, four of whom are in critical condition, according to emergency services. Footage from the public television station DR showed two yellow and gray trains with their fronts severely damaged from a violent collision, parked facing each other in a wooded area. According to Thai News Agency, police stated in a press release that the accident occurred on a local train line connecting the towns of Hillerød and Kagerup. A rescue spokesman confirmed a head-on collision between two trains and that numerous passengers were injured. However, all passengers were successfully evacuated from the trains without anyone being trapped inside. A large number of personnel and resources were immediately mobilized to the scene. The fire department reported via the X platform that all injured individuals received first aid and were evacuated from the scene to hospitals. Ambulances and rescue helicopters were used t o urgently transport critically ill patients. Relevant authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident.
