Songkhla:Warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall has been issued for the eastern part of Southern Thailand, particularly affecting Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat from November 3-9. The Meteorological Department anticipates moderate to heavy thunderstorms during this period.

According to Thai News Agency, the Governor of Songkhla Province, Ratsasart Chidchu, has directed district chiefs to prepare for potential flash floods, landslides, and mudslides. Shelters are being set up to provide 24-hour care, and the public is urged to remain vigilant as the region braces for increased rainfall due to a new high-pressure system from China.

The forecast details indicate moderate thunderstorms with a 40% chance of rain from November 3-5. The likelihood of heavy thunderstorms increases to 60% on November 6-7 and further to 70% on November 8-9. The Songkhla Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command Center has been instructed to implement six measures to ensure public safety and preparedness.

Boat operators in the Gulf of Thailand are advised to exercise caution, and warnings have been issued about the potential dangers of accumulated rainfall leading to natural disasters. Temporary shelters and essential supplies are being prepared, and local authorities are on standby to provide immediate assistance if necessary.
