Heavy Traffic on Mittraphap Road: Congestion from Moklang Dong to Chokchai Farm

Pak Chong: Mittraphap Road experienced significant traffic congestion this morning as vehicles filled all four lanes from Moklang Dong to Chokchai Farm, with cars moving slowly and frequently stopping. The situation prompted highway police to open a special lane for vehicles to travel against traffic, effectively adding an additional lane from Km. 47 Pang Asok, Tambon Klang Dong, Amphoe Pak Chong, to Km. 51 in front of Chokchai Farm.

According to Thai News Agency, the congestion on Mittraphap Road contrasts with conditions on Motorway M6, where traffic remains manageable. Drivers can maintain high speeds across three lanes at the entrance to Tambon Klang Dong. Meanwhile, Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, has coordinated efforts with various sectors to ensure safe and efficient travel. He instructed relevant agencies to focus on preventing road accidents and enhancing travel safety, aligning with the ‘Happiness Festival, Everywhere in Thailand, Convenient and Safe Travel on the Transportation Network’ campaign.

The measures introduced aim to build confidence among travelers and facilitate connections across land, rail, water, and air routes, ultimately seeking to reduce the loss of life and property due to road incidents.
