High Voter Turnout Observed at Taling Chan District Polling Station

Bangkok: "Natthapong" exercised his voting rights at Wat Thong Bang Chuek Nang, Taling Chan District. Teng Nattapong proudly cast his votes in both the general election and the referendum at this polling site, expressing his satisfaction with the high voter turnout and urging others to participate actively for the country's future.

According to Thai News Agency, the atmosphere at the Wat Thong Bang Chuek Nang polling station was lively from the moment the polls opened, with a steady stream of voters arriving to cast their ballots. The polls opened at 8:00 AM, and voters quickly formed lines, demonstrating their commitment to participating in the democratic process. Among the determined voters was Mrs. Sunantha Boontham, who traveled from Surat Thani province by train, arriving in the morning solely to vote in the referendum before heading back the same evening.

In addition to ordinary citizens, Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, the People's Party's prime ministerial candidate, also voted at this station with his family at around 9:30 AM. Mr. Nattapong shared that he consulted with election officials and found a notably high voter turnout. He expressed his delight and encouraged those who had not yet voted to do so, emphasizing the importance of showcasing their collective strength for the nation's future.

Interviews with voters revealed that election officials had clearly explained the voting procedures, and polling stations were well-equipped with lists of eligible voters, sample ballot papers, and detailed instructions. It was reiterated for voters participating in both the constituency election and the referendum that two ballot papers were required: a green ballot for district representatives and a pink ballot for party elections, while the referendum ballot was yellow. Voters needed to register separately for each, unless they had voted for their district representative in advance, in which case they could proceed directly to register for the referendum.
