Bangkok: His Majesty the King has demonstrated his support and concern for the people affected by the recent flooding in the southern region by donating 100 million baht to Hat Yai Hospital and Prince of Songkla University Hospital. His Majesty also extended his royal patronage to the deceased victims of the floods.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, shared a letter from the Bureau of the Royal Household on his personal Facebook page. The letter highlighted His Majesty’s concerns for those impacted by the flooding, including medical personnel and officials working in the affected areas.

In his royal message, His Majesty expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and accepted the bodies of those who died in the floods under his royal care. He also offered his support to the medical personnel at Hat Yai Hospital and Songkla Nakarin Hospital, part of the Faculty of Medicine at Prince of Songkla University, recognizing their dedica
tion during the crisis.

Additionally, His Majesty donated 100 million baht to Hat Yai Hospital for rehabilitation efforts and to purchase medical equipment to replace what was damaged by the flood. Dr. Wirot Yommuang, Director of Hat Yai Hospital, was granted an audience to receive the funds.

Furthermore, His Majesty provided drones to various branches of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and the Royal Thai Police to assist in flood relief and disaster response efforts in the region.
