Hotel Employee Arrested for Impersonating Professor and Exploiting Students

Charoen Nakhon:A male hotel employee has been arrested for posing as a university professor and tricking high school students into sending obscene images and videos under the guise of conducting research on "sexuality." This arrest follows a raid on his condominium, during which authorities seized over 5,000 obscene files.

According to Thai News Agency, the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) initiated Operation Black Research, leading to the arrest of 26-year-old Bancha. He allegedly impersonated a professor, claiming to be conducting research on sexuality, and manipulated male students into participating by sending explicit content. It is reported that he coerced some into sexual intercourse, stating it was part of his research. The raid resulted in the discovery of over 3,000 child pornography files and 2,000 adult pornography files, along with electronic devices like a laptop, mobile phones, and an iPad.

The investigation began in June 2025 after OUR RESCUE, an organization aiding victims of human trafficking and child sexual exploitation, provided crucial information to the DSI. At least four victims had sought help, reporting that Bancha forged documents and used fake online accounts to lure them into his scheme. He claimed the obscene material was needed for his research on sexuality and experiential learning. Bancha's activities reportedly date back to 2019.

Though initially denying the allegations, Bancha faces charges including forgery, illegal recording, distributing obscene material, committing indecent acts, possessing and distributing child pornography, and exploiting individuals for sexual purposes through deception, threats, or coercion.
