Identity of Suspect in Hat Yai Gold Heist Determined

Hat yai: The identity of the suspect in the Hat Yai gold heist has been determined, and an arrest is expected soon. The Deputy Commander of the Songkhla Provincial Police revealed that the identity of the suspect who robbed a gold shop in a well-known department store in Hat Yai city has been determined. He is confident of apprehending the suspect soon. Based on the description, the suspect is believed to be a young man from the Hat Yai area or a nearby district.

According to Thai News Agency, the deputy commander of the Songkhla Provincial Police revealed that they know the identity of the suspect who robbed a gold shop in a well-known department store in Hat Yai city. He expressed confidence in apprehending the suspect soon. He confirmed that the suspect used only a hammer and no weapons during the crime. Based on the description, the suspect appears to be a young man from Hat Yai district or a nearby district. He believes the robbery was well-planned and that the suspect had surveyed the area beforehand, as there were other gold shops closer to the entrance but they were not targeted due to the presence of a bank with security guards. He speculated that the suspect is unlikely to be affiliated with any organization or police force.

Meanwhile, Police Region 9 and Koh Hong Police Station have sent letters to the gold traders associations in Hat Yai district and nearby provinces informing them of the appearance of the gold stolen, which has a Saturn symbol on all 33 strands.
