Imprisonment of “Sika Tong-Brother” for 2 years in extortion case against “Phra Kato”

Bangkok, The Criminal Court sentenced 'Sika Tong' and her brother to 2 years in prison and a fine of 30,000 baht for extorting money from former 'Phra Kato'. The prison sentence was suspended for 2 years. Today, the Criminal Court on Ratchadaphisek Road has scheduled a hearing to hear the verdict in the extortion case, in which the Office of the Attorney General 8 is the plaintiff suing Ms. Wirin Chita "Sika Tong" and Mr. Sathit, Sika Tong's brother, as joint defendants 1-2 in the crime of extortion. In this case, the prosecutor filed a lawsuit against both defendants, with Mr. Phongsakon, or former Phra Kato, as a co-plaintiff. The first defendant's behavior was to force Phra Kato to give 180,600 baht in cash or he would reveal the clip of their sexual conversation. The victim agreed to give money to the first defendant many times, totaling 180,600 baht. In addition, the two defendants threatened that they knew about the romantic relationship between Phra Kato and Ms. Tong and demanded 300,000 baht from Phra Kato to cover up the news. Phra Kato gave 300,000 baht to Ms. Tong. Today, both defendants came to court, but the co-plaintiff did not. The court considered that the first defendant had committed the offenses as charged, which were different offenses, and sentenced him to 2 years in prison and a fine of 20,000 baht for extortion; 3 years in prison and a fine of 40,000 baht for blackmail; and the second defendant was sentenced to 2 years in prison and a fine of 20,000 baht for coercion. The defendant confessed, there were mitigating circumstances, reducing the sentence by half, so the first defendant was imprisoned for 2 years and 6 months and fined 30,000 baht. The second defendant was imprisoned for 1 year and fined 10,000 baht. From the consideration of the investigation of the defendant's behavior, it was found that he had never been imprisoned before, his behavior was not serious, and he had compensated the plaintiff, which was satisfactory and the plaintiff did not hold a grudge. It was deemed app ropriate to give him a chance to reform and become a good person. The prison sentence was suspended for 2 years, he had to report to the probation officer 4 times in 1 year, do 24-hour community service activities, and participate in rehabilitation activities as the probation officer saw fit. As for other requests, they were dismissed. Ms. Wirin Chita revealed after hearing the verdict that today everything ended well and she promised not to commit any more crimes.
