Industry spokesman reveals order to close chemical mixing tank factory that exploded

Bangkok, Oct 26 - Industry spokesman reveals that a factory in Bo Thong Industrial Estate has been ordered to close after a chemical mixing tank exploded, killing two workers. He emphasized that modern industries must be safer. Mr. Pongpol Yodmuangcharoen, spokesman for the Ministry of Industry, revealed that from the situation of the chemical mixing tank explosion at Xiang Piao Nan Forest Metal Co., Ltd., Bo Thong Industrial Estate, No. 888/888, Village No. 8, Bo Thong Subdistrict, Kabin Buri District, Prachin Buri Province, which is engaged in the production of zinc, lead, and tin, an explosion occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. today (October 26, 2024). Initially, there were 2 fatalities, one Burmese worker who fell into the chemical mixing tank, one died at the scene, and one died at the hospital.
