Bangkok: A tragic incident unfolded early this morning in Bangkok Noi District, where a woman, in a state of intoxication, forcibly entered a residence and fatally stabbed a man more than ten times. The violent episode occurred at approximately 4:30 AM in a two-story house located in Soi Charansanitwong 19, Bang Khun Si Subdistrict.
According to Thai News Agency, the police from Bang Khun Non Police Station arrived at the scene to find evidence of a forced entry, including a damaged entrance door, a broken doorbell, a bottle of liquor, and a single woman's shoe. Inside the first-floor bedroom, authorities discovered the lifeless body of 63-year-old Mr. Thawatchaphol, who had suffered multiple stab wounds to his back and thighs. Nearby, a 1-foot-long kitchen knife was found. The alleged assailant, Ms. Thongprakai, aged 30, was found intoxicated and incoherent.
Neighbors reported witnessing the suspect attempting to enter the home around 3 AM, during which she broke the doorbell and climbed over a fence before smashing another door. They recounted hearing the victim's cries twice before the house fell silent. The neighbors noted that Ms. Thongprakai was unlikely to be the victim's wife, as she seldom visited the house and was often heard arguing with Mr. Thawatchaphol during previous visits.
The police have sent Mr. Thawatchaphol's body for an autopsy while Ms. Thongprakai is being held for questioning at Bang Khun Non Police Station. Investigators believe the incident may have been triggered by a fit of rage due to her inability to enter the house, coupled with her intoxicated state, which led to the tragic loss of control.
