Bangkok: After a thorough five-hour investigation, authorities have confirmed that the recent meal involving “Nutpong” and his acquaintances showed no signs of a life-threatening incident. The investigation was part of an ongoing inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Nattawut Ponglangka’s death.

According to Thai News Agency, Police Lieutenant Ice, who has been assisting the family as a mediator, clarified that there had been a miscommunication regarding access to Mr. Nattawut’s residence. He emphasized that he did not possess the house key and was only facilitating communication between the family and the police. Ms. O and Ms. Or, who were part of the dinner group, provided details to investigators, confirming that the meal was a standard work-related discussion and that Mr. Nattawut appeared content with no signs of distress or suicidal intent.

Police Lieutenant Kitpanich, involved in the investigation, revealed that the primary focus was on presenting evidence, particularly Mr. Nattawut’s mobile phone. The phone, handed over to the police by the family’s appointed representative, showed no indications related to the cause of death upon initial review. The family of Mr. Nattawut had reportedly removed the phone from the premises following the incident.

Addressing rumors of a police search at Mr. Nattawut’s house, Mr. Sarawat stated it was a miscommunication. He clarified that the police had intended to search the house, but the family requested a postponement due to funeral arrangements. He reiterated that he never held the keys to the residence.

Initial reports suggested that Mr. Nattawut had committed suicide by poison, but further investigation has not corroborated these claims. Officials present at the scene have yet to clarify the procedures followed upon discovery of the body.

The investigation also examined the accounts of Ms. O and Ms. Or, who confirmed their acquaintance with Mr. Nattawut through their workplace. They stated that they were not closely associated with other friends of Mr. Nattawut, such as Mr. Big or Mr. Ton, despite Mr. Nattawut’s extensive social network. Concerns regarding cyanide were also raised but remain unsubstantiated in the current investigation.
