Iran Warns U.S. Against Interference in Strait of Hormuz

Tehran: Iran warned the United States against interfering in the Strait of Hormuz. The spokesman for Iran's Supreme Military Command stated today that the Tehran government will absolutely not allow the United States to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz, declaring the strategic area a critical red line for the country. Furthermore, he issued a strong warning that Iran is ready to launch an attack on infrastructure throughout the region immediately if U.S. President Donald Trump proceeds with the military measures against Iranian infrastructure as he has threatened.

According to Thai News Agency, this aggressive stance comes after the U.S. military launched two heavy attacks on Iran's coastal defense systems and missile launch sites on Wednesday, following the re-imposition of a naval blockade on Iranian ports. The Iranian military retaliated by shelling U.S. bases in neighboring countries and declared that the situation had escalated into a war for the survival of the nation against the United States.

This escalation of violence comes just days after a fragile ceasefire collapsed, raising serious concerns about a return to full-scale war. Furthermore, Iranian authorities have reiterated threats to further shut down energy export routes in the region, which could have severe consequences for the global economy and energy security.
