Bangkok: IRPC and IRPC OIL have partnered to support flood relief efforts in southern Thailand by contributing fuel cards to aid flood victims.
According to Thai News Agency, the initiative involves a donation of a fuel card valued at 100,000 baht. This contribution was handed over to Mr. Atthapol Rerkpiboon, the Minister of Energy, by Mr. Teodkiat Prommoon, Chief Executive Officer and President, and Ms. Wanida Uthaisomnapa, Senior Vice President, Commercial and Marketing, of IRPC Public Company Limited. The donation is part of the Ministry of Energy’s “Energy Assistance for Flood Victims in Southern Thailand” program, which provides essential fuel for vehicles engaged in rescue operations, repairs, and recovery efforts after flooding resumed in the southern provinces.
The support is a component of the ‘We Care by IRPC’ project, which aims to foster a sense of community and resilience among Thai citizens facing the crisis. The effort is further bolstered by contributions from the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), PTT Public Company Limited, and the Section 7 Oil Traders Group. The ceremonial handover took place at the Ministry of Energy, Building B, Energy Complex, underscoring the collaborative approach of multiple organizations in addressing the flood challenges.
