Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Wednesday his preparedness to resume hostilities with Iran, emphasizing the nation's unfulfilled objectives. He declared that Israel is ready to return to the battlefield whenever necessary, stressing that these goals could be achieved through agreements or by resuming military actions. Netanyahu likened the situation to having "Israeli's finger still on the trigger."
According to Thai News Agency, Netanyahu reiterated during a press conference that Iran's enriched uranium must be eliminated, either through diplomatic channels or military intervention. His remarks followed a two-week ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, facilitated by Pakistan, aimed at halting a six-week conflict that has caused numerous casualties and significant disruptions to global energy supplies.
The Israeli Prime Minister's office conveyed support for President Donald Trump's decision to temporarily halt attacks on Iran. However, Netanyahu clarified that the ceasefire does not extend to Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Israel will maintain its aggressive stance against the group. On the same day, Israel initiated its most extensive offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon since the commencement of hostilities. According to the Lebanese civil defense agency, Wednesday's attacks alone resulted in 254 fatalities.
