Tokyo: Japan has been experiencing heavy rainfall for several days, and authorities are still issuing storm warnings in several areas that could lead to flooding and landslides.
According to Thai News Agency, the Meteorological Agency has issued a Level 5 flood warning, the highest level, for areas along the Shonai River due to prolonged heavy rain in the Shikoku and Tokai regions. The public is urged to exercise caution, especially regarding the risk of landslides.
Heavy rains over the past few days have also caused chaos and traffic congestion across the country. In Fukushima Prefecture, a woman died in her car submerged in floodwaters. Authorities have also ordered the evacuation of tens of thousands of households due to the risk of further disaster.
