The event marked a symbolic gesture aimed at fostering camaraderie and cooperation between Japan and South Korea. According to Thai News Agency, the two ministers also participated in an official welcoming ceremony and conducted a bilateral meeting. During their discussions, Mr. Koizumi disclosed that both parties agreed to enhance collaboration, particularly in conjunction with the United States, amid rising security concerns with North Korea as a central issue. The South Korean Ministry of Defense noted that both nations have consented to work together on deploying artificial intelligence and unmanned weapon systems in their military operations.
