Tokyo: Japanese citizens in Tokyo have expressed admiration for Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's composure during her meeting with President Donald Trump during her visit to the United States.
According to Thai News Agency, the main purpose of this visit to the United States was to inform Trump that Japan, due to constitutional limitations, could not comply with his request for allies to send warships to the Strait of Hormuz. During the joint press conference, an awkward atmosphere arose when Trump compared the US attack on Iran to Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II, noting that both scenarios lacked prior notification to their allies.
A Tokyo resident said that this situation must be very difficult for Takaichi, but she was still able to remain calm and stand peacefully beside Trump.
