Bangkok: Jurin Laksanawisit campaigned in the Lat Phrao district, expressing confidence in the Democrat Party's potential to win a seat in Bangkok in the upcoming elections. Jurin, a former leader of the Democrat Party and a candidate for the party's proportional representation system, joined forces with Mr. Rames Rattanachewang, also a party proportional representation candidate, to support Mr. Panupong Laksanawisit, known as "Nong God," candidate number 8, at the Pho Suwan Market, Nuanchan 56.
According to Thai News Agency, Jurin and Rames distributed leaflets with numbers 8 and 27 to shoppers, receiving a positive response, with many individuals approaching them for photos, handshakes, and offering flowers. Supporters expressed their intention to vote for the Democrat Party on both ballots, seeking new generation leaders and voicing support for Nong God as their MP.
The campaign moved from Nuanchan Road to Miftahul Jinaan Mosque, Suan Thong Village, and concluded at Wat Nuanchan. Jurin commented on the party's past performance in Bangkok, acknowledging its failure to win a seat in two consecutive elections. However, he is optimistic about securing a victory this time, citing improved public support, poll results, and expert analysis. He urged Bangkok residents to support the party's 33 candidates in Bangkok and the party-list candidates, numbered 27, to build honest politics as a foundation for improving national aspects.
Jurin highlighted Mr. Panupong's qualifications and experience, noting his legal education and roles within the party. He emphasized Panupong's readiness to serve the people of Bangkok effectively, urging support for candidate number 8 in the Lat Phrao-Bueng Kum constituency and for the Democrat Party through both ballots.
