Bangkok:On the second day of protest, Kamnan Mano led a group to storm the Government House, demanding a reduction in fuel prices.

According to Thai News Agency, the leaders of the People's Revolutionary Front for the Protection of the Land have set out from the Surat Thani Co-op towards Government House. Their aim is to secure a 10 baht reduction in fuel prices, choosing the auspicious day of King Taksin's campaign for their movement.

Mr. Mano Kreukaew, headman of Krabi Noi Subdistrict and a leader of the protest, emphasized the significance of the chosen day, marking King Taksin's victorious campaign. The protest highlights various grievances, including economic hardships, high living costs, fuel expenses, corruption in local government exams, and government policies. Mr. Mano stated that the protest, now in its second day, will persist until demands are met, with participants planning to stay at Government House indefinitely. The movement aims to gather 1,000 vehicles, with more supporters arriving gradually. Financial support has exceeded one million baht through donations from non-traveling citizens, with transparent accounting practices promised.

Mr. Chatchai Bangchawad, Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, mentioned that a complaints center at Government House will analyze received complaints to present identified problems to the government. He assured that the government is open to listening to the protesters' suggestions if demands are made. If the protest is symbolic, the situation will be assessed accordingly. He expressed confidence that the protests will remain peaceful.
