“Kan Jom Phalang” Provides Evidence of Sai Mai Police’s Alleged Involvement in Online Gambling

Bangkok: “Kan Jom Phalang” has taken decisive action by submitting evidence of the alleged involvement of “S.P. Sai Mai” and his associates in online gambling activities to the Cyber Police, urging them to expedite prosecution. The case also reveals that the family of the involved party has opted for “Kan Jom Phalang” to assist with the case, rejecting any compensation conditions that exclude him.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Kanthas Pongpaiboonwet, also known as “Kan Jom Phalang,” visited the Technology Crime Investigation Division to present information linking the Sai Mai Police Station to an online gambling solicitation case. He had previously shared information with the Cyber Police, leading to confirmation that charges would be pressed for promoting online gambling websites. As part of his evidence, he provided details about individuals wearing specific shirts in photos, which may connect them to the gambling site.

In response to the gambling website’s announcement of removing SP Sai Mai as its presenter, ‘Kan Jom Phalang’ highlighted this as a new phenomenon indicating that such websites are not fearful of the law. Consequently, he submitted information about SP Sai Mai’s associates for further investigation, suspecting more than two individuals involved. Although uncertain about SP Sai Mai’s whereabouts, he expressed confidence that the police possess relevant information.

On the matter of compensation, ‘Gun Jom Phalang’ disclosed that the opposing party, represented by ‘Peach,’ proposed a settlement involving a lump sum, a new car, and medical expenses, contingent on his exclusion. However, the family, particularly the uncle and aunt’s daughter, expressed gratitude for his involvement, opting to reject the offer. ‘Gun Jom Phalang’ emphasized that if the other party genuinely intends to help, they should contribute to the Gun Jom Phalang Foundation without conditions.

He affirmed his commitment to supporting the family, with medical expenses covered by the Mongkol-Jongkon Toopkrachang Foundation. For their safety, a witness protection team from the Ministry of Justice is involved, while a new car will be provided by the Thammanat Prompao Foundation without any conditions attached.
