Kanchanaburi: Kanchanaburi is bustling with activity as ballot boxes are being received ahead of tomorrow’s by-election in Constituency 4. The atmosphere at the reception of ballot boxes was lively, with the Election Commission confident in its readiness to publicize and create understanding among ethnic groups.
According to Thai News Agency, the reception of ballot boxes and the delivery of materials and equipment for the by-election were vibrant. Election Commissions from all 254 polling stations across the four main districts of Lao Khwan, Bo Phloi, Huai Krachao, and Nong Prue conducted joint inspections of the equipment. There are 133,100 eligible voters for this election, with polls open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Pongbandit Pinsuwan, Director of the Kanchanaburi Provincial Election Commission, stated that preparations are proceeding smoothly, with all necessary equipment distributed to the polling stations. Security checkpoints have been established, and no issues have been reported.
Since last night, police and administrative officials have collaborated to set up checkpoints aimed at preventing election fraud and maintaining order. They are committed to ensuring the election is conducted honestly, fairly, and in accordance with the law.
