According to Thai News Agency, the situation in the area is improving as water levels decrease. Residents are returning to their homes and shops to assess the extent of the damage and begin the cleanup process. This involves removing mud, debris, and other residue left by the floodwaters.
Many households are sorting through and cleaning their damaged belongings, while shop owners focus on cleaning floors and preparing their spaces to reopen and resume normal operations.
Despite the progress, some areas within the side streets still have standing water, necessitating ongoing monitoring and drainage efforts. Nevertheless, the overall area is entering the recovery phase as the floodwaters recede.
