Khlong Luang: Police Station officers took ‘Mr. Noom’, the brutal brother-in-law who killed ‘Plaat Nok’, to Thanyaburi Provincial Court to request a detention order and object to bail. Mr. Pratin or Num, aged 43, was taken by the Khlong Luang Police Station to Thanyaburi Provincial Court for detention after evidence was found that the DNA of Mrs. Worakanok or Plaat Nok, the clerk of Khlong Sam Subdistrict Administrative Organization, was on the pocket knife that Mr. Num was carrying. Initially, the suspect denied all charges, but was charged with intentional and premeditated murder and carrying a knife in a city, village, or public road without good reason.

According to Thai News Agency, during the exit from the cell, the suspect had an indifferent expression and did not answer the media’s questions. The police immediately took him to the prison van and sent him to the court, while opposing bail.

In this case, the police collected witnesses and confirmed results from forensic officers linking the suspect to
the assault of the Khlong Sam Subdistrict Administrative Organization chief inside his residence on the night of November 8. The evidence used to request an arrest warrant was CCTV footage, which did not match the suspect’s statement, as well as forensic evidence, as bloodstains of the deceased were found on a short knife seized from under the suspect’s motorcycle seat.

The suspect’s behavior is that he likes to play with knives and has already collected knives. As for the motive for the incident, it is expected to be a family conflict because some relatives have given information that the deceased and his younger sister fought over land and the two mothers did not love their children equally. Therefore, the authorities must wait to gather clear evidence. It cannot be stated at this time whether additional charges will be added or not.
