Pyongyang: The daughter of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was recently observed driving a military tank, with her father seated beside her. Analysts interpret this as a potential indication that she is being groomed to succeed her father as the nation's leader.
According to Thai News Agency, North Korea's state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) released the images, which show the young teenager at the controls of the tank. This is not the first instance of her engaging in military activities; earlier this month, she was seen at a training ground aiming a rifle and was later photographed practicing with a pistol. Despite these public appearances, North Korean authorities have yet to officially confirm her name or age.
In addition to the tank-driving images, a KCNA report detailed that Kim Jong-un recently supervised drills featuring new tank models. These tanks reportedly possess advanced offensive and defensive capabilities, specifically designed to counter drones and anti-tank missiles. This effort is part of a broader initiative to modernize North Korea's military equipment, which also includes the ongoing development of strategic arsenals, such as long-range missiles and nuclear weapons.
