King and Queen Lead Royal Ceremony for Chinese New Year Sacrifices

Bangkok: Their Majesties the King and Queen performed a royal ceremony to offer sacrifices at the ancestral tablets in celebration of the Chinese New Year.

According to Thai News Agency, His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen conducted the royal ceremony of offering sacrifices to the ancestral tablets in observance of the Chinese New Year, Buddhist Era 2569. The event took place on February 17, 2026, at 6:50 PM in front of Amporn Sathan Throne Hall, Dusit Palace.

During the ceremony, His Majesty the King lit gold and silver candles alongside incense sticks at the offering table. He proceeded to place the lit incense sticks on the offerings. Her Majesty the Queen also participated by lighting incense sticks and placing them on the offerings. The ceremony continued as Their Majesties lit incense and candles from a smaller gold offering set to pay homage to the sacred objects, concluded by bowing and burning silver and gold paper.
