Kla Tham Party Candidate Confronted by People’s Party Team in Market Incident

Nonthaburi: Tensions rose in a local market when Kunakorn Mannateerai, a candidate from the Kla Tham Party and former Member of Parliament (MP) for Nonthaburi, shared images of a confrontation involving a People's Party candidate's team. The images showed a member of the People's Party team making a middle finger gesture towards Kunakorn. In response, Kunakorn has called for better training of political teams and has announced intentions to pursue legal action.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Kunakorn, who previously served as an MP for Nonthaburi under the Prachachon Party, encountered the aggressive gesture during a campaign event in the market. In his social media post, he criticized the behavior of the People's Party team and emphasized the need for political candidates to maintain composure and encourage their teams to do the same, especially in public settings.

Kunakorn urged that candidates should focus on constructive politics and refrain from disrespectful behaviors such as bullying. Despite his departure from the Prachachon Party, he expressed continued respect and affection for the party, highlighting the importance of respectful political engagement. He concluded by stating his intention to exercise his legal rights and his hope that such incidents do not recur in his community of Bang Yai.
