Bangkok: The National Security Council has called for strong and decisive military and diplomatic measures in response to escalating tensions along the Thai-Cambodian border. The Kla Tham Party has condemned Cambodia’s use of inhumane weapons and urged the Thai government to take firm action.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Akkhasankhiree Lohwira, Chaiyaphum MP, District 7 and spokesman for the Kla Tham Party, revealed the ongoing situation at the border, which has resulted in casualties and injuries among the local population. The party criticized Cambodia for employing weapons and multiple rockets that have impacted innocent civilians. They have called on the Thai government to respond decisively to the aggression and hold Cambodia accountable for the resulting loss of life and property.

The Kla Tham Party also emphasized the importance of presenting the situation on international platforms to highlight Cambodia’s violations of human rights treaties. They believe that international pressure could lead to an immediate cessation of hostilities.

Furthermore, the party has urged the government to provide comprehensive assistance and compensation to the families of the deceased and injured. It stressed the need to strengthen border defense measures to protect the lives and property of residents in at-risk areas.

The Kla Tham Party reiterated its commitment to defending Thailand’s honor, sovereignty, and peace, assuring citizens that they would resist any encroachment on Thai territory.
