Kla Tham Party Prepares to Challenge Government Policies and Propose New Legislation

Bangkok: Kla Tham Party is set to launch a critical evaluation of government policies and present three draft bills to parliament in a session scheduled for April 9-10, with a focus on economic, social, and public sector reforms.

According to Thai News Agency, the Kla Tham Party, led by Member of Parliament Mr. Atthakorn Sirilatthayakon and his team, announced their plans during a press conference. The party, which has positioned itself as an opposition force, is committed to holding the government accountable for its election promises. The scrutiny will revolve around the government's performance in areas such as the economy, society, disaster relief, public sector reform, and legislation.

The party plans to introduce three draft bills to parliament: the Draft National Education Act, proposed by Professor Dr. Narumon Pinyosinwat and colleagues; the Draft of the Land Reform and Agricultural Area Protection Act, and the Draft Agricultural Volunteer Act, both proposed by Mr. Atthakorn Sirilatthayakon and colleagues. These legislative proposals are part of Kla Tham Party's campaign commitments, reflecting their agenda to advocate for policies that serve the public interest.

In the upcoming joint parliamentary session, the Kla Tham Party will utilize its allocated four hours to debate urgent issues highlighted by the Cabinet, focusing on the government's ability to fulfill its policy declarations. While Captain Thamanat Phromphao, a list-based MP and advisor to the party, may not present unless necessary, the emphasis remains on the government's effectiveness in policy implementation and its impact on the Thai people. The Kla Tham Party vows to diligently oversee the government's adherence to its commitments in order to ensure tangible benefits for the populace.
