Koravee Condemns False Allegations of Money Transfer to Prime Minister

Bangkok:Koravee Prisnanantakul, Member of Parliament for Ang Thong from the Bhumjaithai Party, has sharply criticized the spread of false news regarding alleged money transfers to Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. He used three words—"Stupid, Incompetent, and Evil"—to describe those responsible for disseminating and amplifying these unverified claims.

According to Thai News Agency, Koravee expressed his frustration with the rumors by highlighting that they were baseless, noting that there is no existing bank account number linked to Mr. Anutin. He further explained that online money transfers are capped at five million baht per day, a fact corroborated by Kasikorn Bank. He criticized individuals who spread such rumors without evidence, emphasizing that investigations should be conducted with honesty and backed by facts rather than reckless accusations.

Koravee elaborated, stating that the deliberate spread of falsehoods for political or personal gain constitutes malice. He urged that those who persist in ignorance and deceit should be disregarded, as engaging with them is futile.

Additionally, Nan Bunthida Somchai, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy and Society, issued a cautionary statement urging the public to verify information before sharing it. Her message, "Always check before sharing. Every news item, every issue. Otherwise, 'the crime is complete!'" underscores the potential harm and legal repercussions of disseminating misleading information.
