Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd. on Monday reported its second-quarter net profit of 55.4 billion won (US$40.1 million), up 459.6 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that operating income for the April-June period rose 784.5 percent on-year to 74.3 billion won. Sales increased 21.6 percent to 891.8 billion won. The earnings exceeded market expectations.
