Kui Buri: Kui Buri National Park sent a team of veterinarians to help an injured wild elephant. It was found to have severe wounds and its condition must be closely monitored.

According to Thai News Agency, Kui Buri National Park dispatched a team to assist a wild elephant with an injured left hind leg, which was swollen and impeding its ability to walk normally. The elephant was discovered by officers on patrol last Monday at the Chon Reservoir located within Kui Buri National Park in Mueang District, Prachuap Khiri Khan.

The chief of Kui Buri National Park has organized a special task force to investigate the elephant’s condition, employing a drone to locate and assess its wounds. A team of veterinarians has also been deployed to the site to evaluate the elephant’s symptoms and devise a treatment plan. This includes sedating the animal, cleaning its wounds, and administering antibiotics, tonics, and fluids through a vein behind its ear. It was determined that the elephant’s injuries are grave and require continuous monitoring.
