Bangkok: The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) revealed the asset declaration of "Kung Fu," leader of the Thai Ruam Palang Party, who reported assets totaling 95 million baht, including 1 kilogram of gold bars and 7 luxury watches. His holdings also encompass land valued at 33 million baht, and he earns an annual income of 5.8 million baht from agricultural activities and rental properties.
According to Thai News Agency, the NACC disclosed the assets and liabilities of Mr. Wasawat Puangphornsri, also known as "Kung Fu," upon his appointment as a Member of Parliament in March 2026. Declaring himself single, Mr. Wasawat reported total assets amounting to 95,074,706 baht, including cash, bank deposits, investments, and a loan provided to an individual, Mr. Veerachart Chitpitaklerd, with the full amount still outstanding.
Mr. Wasawat's landholdings comprise seven plots in various Thai provinces, totaling 33.75 million baht. His real estate portfolio includes buildings valued at 16.8 million baht, with properties in Ayutthaya, Bangkok, and Phuket. Additionally, he owns vehicles worth 1.5 million baht and rights and concessions valued at over 6.7 million baht, including life insurance policies and condominium agreements.
Among his other assets, he possesses two gold bars weighing 1 kilogram each, valued at almost 4.8 million baht, along with a Cartier bracelet and high-end watches from brands like Patek Philippe and Rolex, amounting to over 14 million baht.
Mr. Wasawat's liabilities total 6,039,847 baht, including an overdraft and documented debts. His reported annual income of nearly 5.9 million baht stems from a parliamentary salary, rental income, and agricultural earnings, while his expenses totaled over 2.4 million baht.
In the political arena, Mr. Wasawat's leadership of the Pheu Thai Ruam Palang Party in 2023 resulted in two MPs from Ubon Ratchathani Province joining the ruling coalition. By 2026, he successfully led the Thai Ruam Palang Party to win six parliamentary seats, marking his debut as a list MP.
