Labor Day Protests Erupt Across United States to Challenge Trump Administration Policies

Washington: Thousands of people marched across Washington, D.C., on International Workers' Day yesterday to protest the policies of President Donald Trump's administration and demand justice and freedom for workers and immigrants, amidst strict deportation measures by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

According to Thai News Agency, protest leaders stated that the government's economic policies and repressive immigration measures are undermining democracy and causing hardship for Americans. Similar events were held in several other major cities, including New York, Seattle, and San Francisco. In Los Angeles, employees of the SOFI Stadium called for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to be barred from participating in the FIFA World Cup finals, which the U.S. will co-host with Canada and Mexico in June.
