Lawyer Kaew Admits to Impulsive Actions and Apologizes Publicly

Bangkok: "Lawyer Kaew," also known as Dr. Montchai Jongkairattanakul, has publicly apologized for his actions involving an 18-year-old female student, the daughter of a close acquaintance. The incident, which initially did not result in a police report, involved allegations of inappropriate behavior and harassment. During a press conference, lawyer Kaew expressed deep regret, bowing to apologize to all those affected by his actions.

According to Thai News Agency, the situation unfolded after chat conversations and meetings between lawyer Kaew and the student were exposed, revealing accusations of inappropriate conduct. Despite admitting to kissing, lawyer Kaew denied any groping. He emphasized that the other party had not initially filed a police report and noted that there were monetary considerations involved in the aftermath.

Attorney Kaew recounted that he first became aware of the allegations on December 26, 2025, through communications from Num Kanchai, who had received information from Benz Apache and the woman's father. The accusations pertained to an incident alleged to have occurred on September 12th, involving claims of sexual assault during a car ride. Lawyer Kaew expressed shock at these allegations, denying any inappropriate touching during the drive.

He acknowledged that the two drove together, dined, and took photos at a restaurant, maintaining that no harassment occurred there. Lawyer Kaew contended that if something serious had transpired earlier, the woman would not have engaged in these activities with him. He also noted that she had opportunities to leave the restaurant if she felt uncomfortable.

Despite this, lawyer Kaew admitted to losing control later that day, confessing to hugging, kissing, and caressing the woman twice-both in the car after leaving the restaurant and near a mall by the Ramintra Expressway. He stressed that these actions were a result of impulsiveness and apologized profusely, accepting full responsibility for his behavior.

Regarding their ongoing communication, lawyer Kaew explained that their conversations had been cordial, and no allegations of physical abuse had surfaced in their chats. He also clarified that his apology via LINE was not an admission of abusive behavior but rather an expression of regret about their relationship.

Amidst the controversy, the opposing party demanded a financial settlement, which lawyer Kaew described as a means to resolve the issue amicably. He revealed that the demand reached 10 million baht, but negotiations led him to offer 1 million baht, which was refused.

Lawyer Kaew faced additional stress when images of himself and his daughter were shared on social media, leading to insomnia and anxiety. He questioned why the matter was not immediately reported to the police by the opposing party's father and expressed his distress over the social media fallout.

In conclusion, with tears in his eyes, lawyer Kaew reaffirmed his willingness to comply with any legal proceedings and the Bar Association's decisions. He admitted his mistakes, emphasizing his thoughtlessness and inappropriateness, and offered sincere apologies to all parties involved. He also sought advice from a prosecutor to navigate the situation, hoping for a peaceful resolution.
