Love Triangle Turns Deadly as New Boyfriend Fatally Stabs Ex-Boyfriend

Maha sarakham: A love triangle took a tragic turn in Nong Don village, Maha Sarakham province, when a 40-year-old man was fatally stabbed by his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend. The incident unfolded in the home of the woman involved, who was unaware that her current boyfriend was not informed of her continued communication with the deceased, who had recently been released from prison.

According to Thai News Agency, Kudrang Police and investigators arrived at the scene in Moo 2, Na Pho Subdistrict, Kudrang District, following a report of a fatal stabbing. They discovered Mr. Anek, 40, from Ban Phai District, Khon Kaen Province, dead inside the house with a stab wound to his chest. Mr. Somporn, 41, from Don Chan District, Kalasin Province, surrendered to the police, presenting the knife used in the incident. Investigations revealed that both men were romantically involved with the woman who owned the house. A confrontation between the two escalated into a fatal stabbing.

Mr. Somporn, the suspect, explained to police that he had visited his girlfriend's house as usual. Upon arrival, he encountered a stranger, whom he mistakenly believed to be a burglar. During the ensuing scuffle, Somporn claimed the stranger attempted to attack him with a machete, leading him to stab the man in self-defense. Only after the incident did he discover that the deceased was another boyfriend of his girlfriend.

Ms. Chula, also known as Ple, 34, the homeowner, revealed that the deceased was her ex-boyfriend who had served time for drug offenses. During his incarceration, she began dating the suspect. She admitted to not informing either man of her continued contact with the other. The confrontation between the two resulted in the tragic incident. At the time, she was asleep in her room and unaware of the altercation. Initially, police charged her with intentional homicide, taking her into custody for legal proceedings. The case is being forwarded to the investigating officer for further action.
