Bangkok: Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, the current Deputy Minister of Defence, recently avoided addressing inquiries regarding his potential appointment as the Minister of Defense. Despite his reticence, his peers from Class 26 of the Royal Thai Army Academy have already extended their congratulations, hinting at the possibility of his new role.
According to Thai News Agency, Lt. Gen. Adul chose not to engage with the media on topics related to his potential new position or on the subject of energy conservation measures aligned with government policy. When questioned by reporters about the finalized list of cabinet members and his possible inclusion as the Minister of Defense, Lt. Gen. Adul simply responded, "That's not my responsibility."
Despite his evasive remarks, the gesture from his academy classmates suggests confidence in his impending appointment. The situation remains speculative, with official confirmation of the cabinet lineup yet to be announced.
