Major Drug Trafficking Network Linked to “The Border Pilot” Busted

Bangkok: Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Police Region 1 arrested a major drug trafficking network led by "Nakbin Chondaen" and raided a drug warehouse, seizing 6.8 million methamphetamine pills with a total value exceeding 200 million baht.

According to Thai News Agency, the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provincial Police launched an operation to arrest the major drug trafficking network, "Nakbin Chon Daen," at a warehouse in Phachi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The operation resulted in the arrest of four suspects along with the seizure of over 6.8 million methamphetamine pills, two vehicles, firearms, and ammunition.

The suspects have been identified as Mr. Theerapat, 24 years old; Mr. Somchai, 35 years old; Mr. Amnat, 35 years old; and Ms. Nichada, 19 years old. The arrest was linked to an earlier incident on May 12, 2026, when drug interdiction officers in Chumphon Province intercepted a closed-box pickup truck, confiscating 493 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine. This led to further investigations that uncovered connections to the drug network operating in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.

The authorities charged the suspects with "selling Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine) with intent to sell, engaging in commercial activity, and causing their distribution among the public." The suspects have been detained for legal proceedings as the investigation continues to identify additional members of the criminal network.
