Bangkok: Get ready for a major franchise roadshow in 4 regions across the country. The Department of Business Development is fully committed to its Quick Big Win policy, strengthening SMEs and increasing the value of Thai products. It is preparing a large-scale Franchise Roadshow across four regions of the country to promote Thai franchise businesses, expand into regional markets, create systematic and stable business ownership options, generate jobs and income, and distribute wealth to local communities. The event is expected to generate at least 590 million baht in revenue.
According to Thai News Agency, the Department of Business Development is preparing to hold a Franchise Roadshow in 4 regions and 4 provinces across the country: Chonburi, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Udon Thani. The aim is to elevate the Thai franchise business towards proactive growth and create opportunities for people in the regions to own businesses systematically. This will help create jobs, increase income, and distribute wealth to local communities. The event is expected to generate at least 590 million baht in revenue.
Mr. Poonpong Naiyanapakorn, Director-General of the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, revealed that the department prioritizes the systematic and sustainable growth of Thai franchise businesses. This includes supporting entrepreneurs and citizens in regional areas to have equal access to information, knowledge, and business opportunities, aligning with the Quick Big Win policy of the Minister of Commerce (Ms. Supajee Suthamphan) on strengthening SMEs and increasing the value of Thai products. Between December 2025 and March 2026, the department will hold four franchise roadshows in four regions, selecting franchise businesses that meet the DBD Franchise Standard 2025. These roadshows will include: the first on December 19-22, 2025 at Central Sriracha; the second on January 15-18, 2026 at Central Chiang Mai Festival; the third on February 5-8, 2026 at Central Phuket Festival; and the fourth on March 5-8, 2026 at Central Udon Thani. These events will provide a platform for interested par
ties in the provinces and surrounding areas. Meet franchise owners directly and negotiate business deals, while learning comprehensive business information.
A key highlight of this event is the exhibition booth featuring over 40 Thai franchise brands, spanning food, beverage, services, education, and retail businesses. Business matching sessions will provide a platform for business expansion, networking with entrepreneurs from various sectors, and exploring new business opportunities. In addition, financial institutions will have booths offering advice, funding support, and special terms for interested parties.
These four franchise roadshow events will help entrepreneurs and people in the provinces access business opportunities more easily, provide more options for starting a business with certified management systems, and enhance the potential of small business owners to grow steadily and sustainably. It is estimated that the events will attract at least 10,000 visitors and generate an economic value of at least 590 million baht throughout the event.
‘Expanding access to franchise opportunities is a key mission of the Department of Business Development in promoting job creation, income generation, and driving the grassroots economy. This Franchise Roadshow not only helps Thai franchise businesses expand their markets more widely, but also promotes careers, distributes income, and increases the stability of the local economy, which aligns with the Department’s mission to develop Thai entrepreneurs sustainably,’ Director-General Poonpong concluded.
