Bangkok: Mallika Boonmeetrakul Mahasuk officially launched her candidacy for Bangkok Governor, promoting her "HUMAN INNOVATION" policy. This policy focuses on leveraging AI and technology to solve urban problems such as PM2.5 pollution, flooding, traffic congestion, and 24-hour security. She also aims to build the economy through e-commerce platforms, hoping to improve the quality of life for Bangkok residents, ensuring a comfortable and fulfilling life today.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Mallika's campaign seeks to propel Bangkok into the future with innovative solutions. She emphasized the concept of "Modern Human," with a focus on immediate improvements in the quality of life for citizens. AI and modern technologies will play a crucial role in city management, enhancing safety and enabling officials to address issues more efficiently.
An urgent policy to tackle the PM 2.5 dust problem involves the concept of "AI and rain washing away dust," with KPIs set every 3-7 months. The plan includes technology to detect and analyze dust levels and coordination with relevant agencies. Additionally, a flood radar system is in preparation to enhance flood prevention efficiency by analyzing cloud cover, rainfall, and drainage systems.
Urban safety is a significant focus, with plans to promote Bangkok as a "24-hour safe city," allowing residents to work and travel safely at any time. The initiative also aims to reduce living costs, stimulate the economy, and increase incomes. An e-commerce platform, "Application Hub e-commerce," will be developed to generate income and create jobs, particularly for recent graduates.
The campaign also proposes promoting street food as a soft power force to develop Bangkok into a food city with 24-hour tourist accessibility. In healthcare, plans are underway to upgrade local services to hospital-level standards, reduce overcrowding, and expand green spaces across districts.
Ms. Mallika assured voters of her commitment to transparency and decisive leadership, free from corruption. Inspired by the golden Buddha statue at Wat Traimit, she envisions transforming Bangkok into a vibrant metropolis with future economic opportunities.
Additionally, the revival of "District Council Members," or S.Kh., is proposed to serve as representatives of the people in each area. If elected, Ms. Mallika intends to amend relevant laws to facilitate this. Her campaign is open to collaboration with all sectors, including independent and political party-affiliated Bangkok City Councilors and community leaders' networks, to drive Bangkok forward.
