Manchester: Manchester City, the Premier League's wealthy club, has reached an agreement to sign Elliot Anderson, the promising midfielder from Nottingham Forest, for a club-record fee of £116 million (approximately 5,104 million baht).
According to Thai News Agency, Anderson's £116 million transfer fee is fixed and will not be subject to any further payments. This makes the 23-year-old the most expensive English player in history, and also the most expensive player for Manchester City, surpassing Jack Grealish, who moved from Aston Villa to the Etihad Stadium for £100 million (approximately 4.4 billion baht) in 2021.
Meanwhile, Manchester City have given Anderson, who is currently playing for England at the 2026 World Cup, the green light to undergo a medical examination and hold personal contract talks with the club in New York on Friday. If everything goes smoothly, the England midfielder will immediately become a new member of "The Citizens."
