Bangkok: The Marketing Association of Thailand (MAT) has officially announced the commencement of applications for the 18th annual "Marketing Award of Thailand 2026" (MAT Award 2026), marking a significant milestone in recognizing the largest marketing campaigns in Thailand. This year's event not only focuses on strategic competition but also commemorates the association's 60th anniversary with the introduction of a new award category, "Community and Regional Excellence," aimed at integrating creativity with grassroots economic growth and enhancing Thai marketing standards on a global scale.
According to Thai News Agency, Associate Professor Dr. Ekk Phatarathanakul, President of MAT, explained that the MAT Award is held annually to acknowledge and support exceptional work by Thai marketers. The award targets campaigns that effectively utilize innovative marketing techniques and varied strategies to meet consumer needs, achieve measurable results, and foster positive social impact and sustainable growth.
Over the past 18 years, the MAT Award has represented a crucial milestone for leading organizations, companies, and brands striving to achieve recognition, supporting and celebrating remarkable work from Thai marketers with unique skills. This year's judging panel remains competitive, evaluating entries based on creativity and innovation, customer-centric approaches, measurable results, and sustainable impact.
For the first time in its sixth decade, the association is introducing the 'Community and Regional Excellence' award, reflecting modern business contexts where brands must evolve alongside society. This new category honors outstanding marketing campaigns that stimulate community economies, including regional marketing initiatives that add value to local communities and distribute income effectively.
The MAT Award 2026 invites submissions across five award categories: Strategic Marketing, Brand Experience and Communication, Marketing Innovation, Responsible and Sustainable Marketing, and the newly introduced Community and Regional Excellence.
