MCOT and BMTA Plan Collaboration on EV Charging Stations and Media Development

Bangkok:MCOT Public Company Limited and the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) are moving forward with plans to explore collaboration opportunities, focusing on expanding electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and developing digital media content.

According to Thai News Agency, discussions were held involving Mr. Jetsada Pongthanathanawat, Acting President and CEO of MCOT, Mr. Nimit Sukprasert, Acting Deputy President and CEO for Marketing and Sales, and Dr. Kittikan Chomduang Charuwarapolkul, Director of the BMTA. The talks aimed to identify potential areas for cooperation, including land use for EV charging stations, corporate public relations, and digital media content development.

BMTA expressed interest in utilizing MCOT's land for EV charging stations, with plans to hold further discussions to evaluate the feasibility of such projects. Additionally, BMTA aims to enhance its public relations by using MCOT's media outlets to present its mission, services, and organizational image. MCOT will consider suitable program formats and time slots to meet BMTA's communication goals.

The collaboration also includes BMTA's interest in producing programs about its services and organizational role, making information accessible and engaging for the public. MCOT will develop program ideas to align with these objectives.

Both parties are considering the creation of vertical short series for digital platforms, focusing on BMTA's history and development to engage younger audiences. MCOT and BMTA will jointly review program formats, public relations strategies, and the potential development of MCOT's space for EV bus charging stations, as well as prepare concepts for a digital short series or film.

This partnership aims to leverage resource and space utilization, enhance corporate public relations, and develop new content to benefit both organizations and support the wider communication of public transportation services.
