Bangkok: Integrating all sectors to support the Cabinet's mission on June 8-9, MEA, in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Works, organized a seminar to enhance knowledge of electrical safety in the industrial sector for the year 2026. Today (May 7, 2026), Mr. Kanathip Saphanthuphong, Assistant Governor of MEA (Metropolitan Electricity Authority), together with Mr. Baworn Satyawuthipong, Director of the Factory Safety Technology Promotion Division, Department of Industrial Works, presided over the opening of the seminar 'Electrical Safety Awareness Project (Industrial Sector) 2026' for entrepreneurs and stakeholders in the industrial sector at Mayfair A Room, 11th Floor, The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, Bangkok.
According to Thai News Agency, the objective of this seminar is to enhance knowledge of electrical safety, covering relevant laws, electrical safety standards, basic life support (CPR), and first aid for electrical accident victims, so that participants can apply this knowledge correctly and safely in their work.
The Assistant Governor of MEA stated that MEA, as a state-owned enterprise supplying electricity, is committed to driving energy for metropolitan lifestyles, prioritizing security, safety, and efficiency in electricity use, especially in the industrial sector, which plays a vital role in driving the country's economy and consumes a high volume of electricity. Therefore, MEA, in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Works, organized this project to promote knowledge of electrical safety, adherence to standards, and to provide participants with opportunities to exchange experiences with expert speakers, thereby enhancing electrical safety sustainably.
