Bangkok: Come admire the decorative lights in honor of Mother’s Day. MEA invites you to view the light decorations in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother’s birthday and National Mother’s Day. Mr. Vilas Chalermsat, Governor of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), revealed that to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother’s birthday on August 12, 2025, MEA has installed over 2 million decorative lights at various locations, including Amporn Sathan Throne Hall, Sukhothai Palace, the Grand Palace, Sanam Luang area, around Chitralada Palace, Sra Pathum Palace, Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall, the Royal Equestrian Statue, Sanam Suea Pa, the Privy Council Office, the Ministry of Interior, Ratchadamnoen Nai Road, Ratchadamnoen Klang Road, Ratchadamnoen Nok Road, and Si Ayutthaya Road.
According to Thai News Agency, MEA has begun installing the decorative lights and will open them for viewing from today until August 19, 2025, from 6:00 PM to midnight daily. MEA invites the public to experience the beauty of the decorative lights on this auspicious occasion.
