MEA Points Program Offers Special Rewards for Electricity Customers

Bangkok: The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) has introduced a rewards program allowing customers to earn and redeem points for various benefits, including discounts on electricity bills.

According to Thai News Agency, the MEA Points program enables customers to accumulate points through different activities and redeem them for rewards worth up to 500 baht. Customers can earn points by applying for MEA Points via the MEA e-Service, enrolling in the e-Bill service, inviting friends to join the program, and paying their electricity bills through various channels, with specific points allocated for each activity.

The program offers a special promotion from 1 October to 31 December 2025, where 5,000 points can be exchanged for rewards worth 500 baht. Generally, 200 points equate to 20 baht, 500 points to 50 baht, 1,000 points to 100 baht, and 2,000 points to 200 baht. Points are earned through activities like verifying identity for new customers, applying for the e-Bill service for the first time, inviting friends, and paying bills before deadlines.

Customers who wish to participate in the program must be residential clients under specific categories in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan. They can accumulate points from multiple meters under their ownership. Points are valid for two years from the date they are received.

Participants can register and manage their MEA Points through various platforms, including the MEA e-Service website, the MEA Smart Life application, and LINE OA “MEA Connect.” Redemption can be done online, with options to apply the points towards electricity bills or other prizes.

The initiative aims to encourage customers to engage with MEA services and promote efficient electricity management while offering tangible rewards for their participation.
